For the last years of two and a half years, I worked at Microsoft, almost entirely outside of the United Kingdom. For an old guy from Lotus Notes, this may seem a bit heretical, but in fact our technology today, in my opinion, is more consistent with the vision of collaboration which Notes and Domino promised, but overall did not engage in a broad market.
I am not blogging here to promote MS or products I care about (Microsoft Enterprise Project Management and Visio for registration) we do it very efficiently indeed but I spend a large part of most of the days of working talking to customers and partners and curious, we have often often focused on Collaboration, management processes, the management resources and dashboards.
If, in Finland, Belgium or the Portugal (or nine other countries), talk about commercial organizations control over structural problems that often precedes part of my daily discussions or public sector.
"Where to start? I am often asked. Frankly I am more surprised the question because the answer is obvious for me: 'From where you are now'.
This may seem a bit unnecessary, but the fact is that most organizations are independent projects or diagrams of the process of creating (on some zone sharing or file storage) or as needed to bring the present in a controlled environment and collaborative practice.
In my opinion the progression is often a better characterized as "how easily accommodate todays bad practice and it evolves into best of breed" as often with new large systems fails. The massive enterprise change management but well-planned is incredibly difficult to deliver.
I'm lucky, the toolset we now offer to Mrs. really supports evolutionary change (if you want a revolution forward but I for one am not joining) and so that we can today deliver on the promise. Establish and maintain the technological commitments are frankly the beginning. Its these issues facing every day I'm going to focus on in future posts.
In the coming weeks and in the future, I examine the differences between the project management, project management, project management Enterprise and graphics driven by business data.
Yes, it will be through the prism of the MS eyes porter now, but it will also be my own views and not those of MS. I am not a regurgitation of blog machine.
